First Tuesday of the month

The Primetimers is an organization for retired individuals, with a luncheon every first Tuesday of the month.  The luncheon begins at 11:30 am in Fellowship Hall and is open to the community for anyone who would like to participate in Christian fellowship.  The cost of the luncheon is $4.00 and is followed by a speaker or entertainment.  The current president is Mr. W. Lee “Dub” Brown.

Primetimers makes excursions as a group at least once a month with day trips and several times a year, there are overnight and week-long trips for those interested.  There is generally a Thanksgiving Banquet and food basket project for the group in November.

Widow's Banquet

There will be a Widow's Banquet, Monday, May 4, at 6 p.m., at First Baptist Church.  A widow is a woman whose husband passed away while they were still married and they remain unmarried.  Widows may sign up in the church office to attend.
