Children's Ministry at First Baptist McAlester
Mission Statement:
To lead families and children to Jesus, ministering to their needs and encouraging them to become fully devoted followers of Jesus.

Deuteronomy 6:4-7
4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
Matthew 28:19-20
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Purpose of the Children's Ministry:
- To provide a safe, clean, happy Christian environment for children at times they are at the church.
- To meet the emotional, intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual needs of each child.
- To promote communication and understanding between parents and teachers.
- To enlist the support and cooperation on the part of the church family to better meet the needs of children.
- To encourage active participation by parents in worship, visitation, and fellowship.
- To lay a foundation of Biblical knowledge that will lead a child to a responsible conversion experience later in life.
